Nonprofits are no longer the only organizations trying to create meaningful impacts around the world. Corporate partnerships with organizations determined to add good throughout their communities are the new norm as consumers and employees expect corporations and local businesses to support positive social changes right outside their doors in ways that are tangible and meaningful. Join The Other Side Village as we build a long-term, permanent community in Salt Lake City for Utah’s men and women becoming self-supportive, forming healthy connections, and ending the pattern of chronic homelessness in their own lives.
Communicate Your Brand’s Values
Employees today expect their companies to go beyond the old corporate social responsibility framework. It makes good business sense on every level–customers and employees alike prefer to engage with brands that clearly have values and demonstrate a commitment to them. Customers also seek out and remain more loyal to brands that have stakes in their communities.
Put simply: caring about your community makes your customers care more about your company.
And it’s not just customers who gain a favorable opinion of your company: employees who work for a company that engages in socially supportive opportunities are more engaged and satisfied at work and feel a greater sense of belonging. High-quality employees, the kind you want to keep, stay at companies that demonstrate strong social values.
Become a partner!
It takes a village to raise a village. Help us bring a healthy, accountable, loving, and supportive community to hundreds of Utahns making their way out of chronic homelessness.
There are a lot of opportunities to become a corporate partner, from volunteerism to amenity donations and beyond. For example, a construction company could volunteer a crew to build a house or an accounting firm could donate time to teaching financial skills–the possibilities are endless!
Partnering with The Other Side Village can be as big or as small as you want it to be.
Opportunities for corporate partnerships with the Other Side Village:
- Sponsor a home, amenity, or building
- In-kind gifts
- Bridge funding
- Employee donation match
- Volunteer with employees
- Direct donation
These ideas are just the beginning! Here are a few more ways to get involved in an even bigger way.
Sponsorships
Sponsoring the construction of any part of the Village will directly provide a strong community to someone leaving chronic homelessness. Donations start at $10,000 to furnish a residence and go up to $4.5 million for a community building, with price points everywhere in between.

A Self-Sustaining Vision
The vision of the Village is to be completely self-sufficient, including social enterprises and community events that keep the community’s expenses paid.
With this goal in mind, we know that the Village’s needs are going to change and evolve over time, which means that corporate opportunities will change and evolve as well. During the early stages, as we are securing our site and designing the Village, fundraising is the key priority. Later, when it is time to build the structures, decorate the homes, and landscape the outdoor spaces, we will need all the help we can get with volunteers.
After the Village is built, who knows what comes next? There may be volunteer opportunities to teach courses in cooking, cleaning, and other home management skills.
